KELLEY & BOB SCARZAFAVA

Owners of Anacortes Diving & Supply since 1996.

We are Kelley & Bob and diving is our passion. Bob grew up in upstate NY and after a family trip to the Caribbean in 1982, he tried Scuba and was hooked. I grew up here in the Northwest and received my certification back in 1988. A couple years later the tropics were calling and off to the Caribbean I went. This is where Bob and I met and have been together ever since. I missed the Northwest and decided to head home and Bob wanted to come along, imagine that. In 1996 we purchased Anacortes Diving and never looked back. You will find us diving not only for work but also diving on our days off. Underwater Photography is our hobby underwater, Bob covers the video and I take all the still pictures. We love to travel and diving keeps us looking for that next ultimate adventure spot somewhere or anywhere around the world. Come and join us!

KARMA MANLEY

Dive Store Manager

Karma grew up in the dry climate of eastern Oregon, but felt most at home on family trips to the coast. She studied marine biology at the University of Oregon, but it was a small invertebrate that led her to want to go diving. While looking over the edge of a fishing dock, she spied her first nudibranch, a small sea slug that was brilliantly orange and white. The fact that beautifully colored creatures lived in the cold, murky water of the Pacific made her want to see what else she was missing. She earned her open water certification in 1999 right here at Anacortes Diving & Supply. She has logged over 500 dives in places all over the world; the Caribbean, Spain, Canada, Philippines, Borneo, Fiji and most recently in Hawaii, where she lived for the past 6 years. She is happy to be back in Anacortes for the past couple of years and excited to once again be diving the prolific waters of the Pacific Northwest.

Jobun received his Divemaster in the spring of 2026 and is excited to help out with classes.

Meg moved here from Texas seeking a new adventure. She received her open water certification when she was 14 in Texas and fell in love with diving. She did all warm water diving, mostly in Florida and the Bahamas, before coming here and experiencing PNW diving. She received her advanced open water certification summer of 2023 in Fiji, and she is super excited to be here at Anacortes Diving!

Brandyn

Instructor

Brandyn Davis – I grew up on Whidbey Island hearing stories of my dad’s scuba adventures in the 80’s, so diving was always something I wanted to try. From the first time my head went under the water in Open Water class with Kelley, I knew this was something I would be doing for the rest of my life. I dive as frequently as possible in our beautiful local waters and work as an instructor at the shop, with several years as a divemaster before that. I have also been lucky enough to travel all over the world and dive in places like Indonesia, Egypt, Cuba, Canada, and more.

Anya

Anya Voloshin began diving in the Northwest in 2016. In 2022 she earned her Divemaster Certification and is an active Divemaster with Anacortes Diving Supply. She loves working with open water students, leading shore dives and guiding divers at our local dive sites.

Erica

Instructor

Erica is a marine ecologist focused on understanding and protecting aquatic habitats across Washington State. She started diving in 2011 while traveling and although she still loves exploring warmer waters, her favorite place to dive is the cold, colorful waters of the Pacific Northwest. She loves exploring kelp forests and enjoys helping people feel more comfortable and confident diving so they can explore their underwater interests as well.

Chelsi

Assistant Instructor/Divemaster

My name is Chelsi and I am an Assistant Instructor. Becoming a scuba diver was a dream of mine from an early age. I competitively swam in high school on the local swim team and spent hours in the water every day. After high school I moved to Montana for nursing school, but the call of the sea was constantly urging me back to the Pacific Northwest. Soon after moving back to beautiful Anacortes I began working at the local hospital. I had a chance encounter with a member of the Anacortes Diving and Supply Dive Club. My conversation with this future friend and dive buddy regarding all her adventures and travels with Kelley and Bob motivated me to dive in and get certified. I signed up for open water class in the summer of 2017 with Bob as my instructor and have never looked back. I have since logged over 600 dives between local cold water dives and tropical dives abroad. My love of the ocean has grown exponentially and I am so grateful that I get to experience the marine environment and sea life at home and abroad on trips with the shop. I am also always thrilled to share my excitement of diving with others by way of being a Dive Master and showing anyone that shows a slight interest

DIVEMASTERS

Ella

Divemaster

Ella started diving in the Pacific Northwest in 2014, which sparked her interests in studying marine life. Since then, she has been diving locally, on the Oregon coast, and in warmer waters from the Carribbean to the Indian ocean. While she loves a coral reef, kelp forests have her heart! Ella became a divemaster in 2024 and joined our team in 2025. She loves helping others learn about diving and marine life.

Daymon

Divemaster

Daymon has spent most of his life living around and playing on the ocean and has now switched his focus to the world under the waves.  Originally from Canada and now living in Washington state, Daymon has completed all his training and most of his dives with Anacortes Diving in the chilly waters of the Pacific Northwest. You’ll find Daymon diving most weekends with the dive club or with friends at many of our wonderful local dive sites.

Kevin

Divemaster

Kevin first experienced scuba diving in 2022 in Jamaica when he signed up for a “Discovery Dive” and he was instantly hooked. He then received his Open Water Certification in 2024, while vacationing in St. Lucia. Kevin returned to Washington, excited to continue diving and scheduled a “Cold Water Intro” with Anacortes Diving and has been diving since. Kevin has experience in both cold water and warm water environments and continues to increase his knowledge and experience at every opportunity.
