The goal of this course is not to graduate expert wreck divers, rather, it is to interest recreational divers in the sport of wreck diving and to educate them about the skills and equipment that are required for exploring wrecks. Our number one goal is safety. Each wreck is a time capsule into history waiting to be explored. It offers the diver a new outlet for adventure, a nice change from reefs or kelp beds.
We will discuss specialized equipment, mental attitude, slight wreck penetration if possible, and experience level required for each dive. This course covers the basics and is the foundation to more advanced wreck diving courses.
This course consists of 1- classroom session and 2-dives in the Open Water.
Course Prerequisites: Underwater Navigation & Deep Diving Specialties.
